July 4th Fireworks San Diego 2011

Here’s the quick and dirty information on where to find some of our favorite 4th of July fireworks displays in San Diego in 2011:

Big Bay Boom Fireworks Show

9:00 p.m. The big daddy of them all.  Fireworks explode all around the Big Bay. The colorful display can be seen from Chula Vista, Harbor Island, North Embarcadero, Shelter Island and Seaport Village. The shindig will last about 17 minutes.  Go early and expect traffic. Check the website for more and updated information on shuttles, etc.

La Jolla Cove Concert and Fireworks

9:00 p.m  Fireworks can be seen from La Jolla Shores, Scripps Park and La Jolla Cove.  Parking might be nuts so go early and enjoy the 5:00 p.m. concert.


Lake Murray Fireworks

9:15 p.m. The community of Lake Murray puts on fireworks show over Lake Murray. Lake Murray Community Park, 7001 Murray Park Drive, San Diego.

Mira Mesa’s Fireworks & Activities

9:00 – 9:30 p.m. Fireworks at Mira Mesa High School.


San Diego County Fair Fireworks Show

9:00 p.m.  This is the big fireworks show that takes place at the San Diego County Fair 2011. The fireworks show is free with fair admission.


City of Vista
Red, White and Boom Celebration

9:00 p.m. This fireworks show is brought to you by The City of Vista and it will be held at Brengle Terrace Park, 1200 Vale Terrace Drive.
